About the Company - For over 37 years CEMBRE Ltd has been designing and manufacturing solutions for connection and termination of electrical conductors: connectors, cable lugs, and tools for our Installation, cable glands, automatic and manual marking systems. With rapid growth plans at our manufacturing facility in Sutton Coldfield, we are now looking for an Environmental Advisor to join our expanding team.
About the Role - Reporting to Manufacturing Site & Maintenance Manager the Electroplating Technician will be responsible for the operation of Tin Plating Line process.
Responsibilities
- Design, optimise, troubleshoot and establish overall process activities
- Ensuring the continuous monitoring and assessment of tin plating practices
- Conduct testing and inspections to ensure the highest quality parts
- Analyse data findings and reporting data to the senior management team
- Lead and design testing and experiments to develop processes
- Supporting auditing measures and updating tin plating records
- Liaising with site teams, clients, regulatory bodies
- Chemical storage, testing and mixing
- Health and safety compliance
- Implement policies and standards
- Implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement action plans
- Support tin plating team with day to day operational duties
Education and Skills
- 5+ years experience in Process Manufacturing or Development role
- 5+ years experience in a Chemical or Electroplating production environment
- Degree/HND/HNC in related field (Electrochemical, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science)
- Experience with Electrochemistry
- Hands on experience with chemistry and chemical development
- FLT Licence - Counterbalance
- Relevant Chemical handling certification
- Relevant H&S certification
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products
