This is a dual hands-on and project-management position. You will supervise and actively participate in high-quality LED and solar PV installations while overseeing projects end-to-end across the UK. You will be the key point of contact on site, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and client satisfaction are delivered every time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise teams of electricians and subcontractors on LED lighting and solar PV installations at commercial and industrial sites nationwide.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects: planning, resource allocation, progress tracking, cost control, and handover.
  • Carry out site surveys, quality inspections, testing, on-site risk assessments and commissioning.
  • Ensure full compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition), MCS standards, Health & Safety legislation, and CEMA’s rigorous quality processes.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and the head office in Market Rasen to keep projects on time and within budget.
  • Mentor and develop junior electricians and apprentices.
  • Communicate with the Operations Manager on a regular basis to provide updates on job progress, report any potential problems that you can foresee and to seek guidance or support as required.
  • Travel UK-wide (company vehicle provided) and stay away when required (allowance and accommodation covered).
  • Take full ownership of personal health and safety responsibilities and those of the team, ensuring PPE is worn at all times, and reporting any non-compliance to the Operations Manager or Health & Safety Coordinator.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the business.
  • Responsible for upholding our values, leading by example and shaping the workplace culture.
What We’re Looking ForEssential
  • Fully qualified electrician (City & Guilds 2365/2357 or equivalent) with current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • 2391 test and inspect.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Lead Electrician in commercial installations (ideally solar PV, LED lighting, or renewables).
  • Strong project-management skills – able to run multiple sites simultaneously.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
  • JIB Gold Card (or equivalent) and up-to-date CSCS card.
  • Excellent safety awareness and leadership skills.
Desirable
  • Solar PV specific qualifications SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
  • Experience with LED retrofit projects or commercial solar arrays.
  • Basic first aid and IPAF qualifications.
