Celtrino is at an inflection point. We have 30 years of deep domain expertise, a loyal and growing customer base, and real momentum as we become a leading player in the UK, actively displacing legacy incumbents and winning deals that prove the market is ready for a better alternative. Our product portfolio is ripe for the next generation of intelligent, AI‑augmented supply chain automation.
Your Mission: You will own the product roadmap across three interconnected horizons: stabilizing and modernizing the core platform, accelerating the commercialization of AI‑powered capabilities currently in R&D, and ensuring Celtrino’s offer remains tightly aligned with market needs and ahead of the competitive curve.
How You’ll Be Set Up to Win:
- Direct access to leadership: You’ll report to the MD and work closely with the CTO, giving you the mandate and visibility to drive real change.
- Established platform to build on: Proven infrastructure processing billions in transactions annually, with a clear modernization roadmap already underway.
- Active AI R&D pipeline: Our engineering team has live proof‑of‑concepts in AI‑assisted document processing, anomaly detection, and intelligent onboarding ready for a product owner to bring to market.
- Strong commercial signal: Direct access to 1,000+ customers, including the UK and Ireland’s largest retailers, wholesalers and buyers, and an active sales team generating continuous market feedback.
- Empowered to own it: Autonomy to set priorities, define success metrics and drive outcomes across the full product stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Core Product Management: Own and maintain the product roadmap, setting and communicating priorities, rationale and trade‑offs clearly to all stakeholders. Write high‑quality PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria that enable engineering to build with confidence and speed. Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming and release management in close collaboration with the engineering team. Define and track product KPIs (adoption, retention, NPS, time‑to‑value) and use data to iterate and improve. Manage the feedback loop between customers, support, sales and engineering ensuring the right problems are solved in the right order.
- AI Product Commercialization: Own the product strategy for Celtrino’s emerging AI capabilities, taking proof‑of‑concepts through discovery, validation and to GA release. Define the business model, pricing and packaging for new AI‑powered features (e.g., intelligent document processing, predictive exception management and smart onboarding automation). Collaborate with R&D to write detailed product specs, acceptance criteria and go‑to‑market briefs for AI feature launches. Work with Sales and Marketing to develop compelling narratives around AI value translating technical capability into customer outcomes.
- Platform Stability & Technical Debt Management: Partner with engineering to audit, prioritise and systematically retire technical debt across the core EDI platform. Define and maintain a debt reduction backlog that balances near‑term reliability improvements with long‑term architectural goals. Champion platform health metrics (uptime, latency, defect rates) and embed them into sprint reviews and OKR cycles. Build the case for infrastructure investments with clear business impact framing for engineering and leadership audiences.
- Market Research & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct structured customer discovery interviews and analyse support data to surface unmet needs and prioritisation signals. Map the competitive landscape across EDI, supply chain automation and adjacent AI/automation platforms, track competitor roadmaps and pricing moves. Monitor regulatory shifts (e.g., e‑invoicing mandates, Peppol expansion, NHS procurement frameworks) and translate them into product opportunities. Produce regular market insight reports for leadership and sales to inform positioning and pipeline strategy.
Requirements:
- 4–8 years of product management experience in a B2B SaaS or managed services environment.
- Experience taking AI/ML features from concept or R&D prototype to commercial launch.
- Track record of successfully managing technical debt programmes alongside feature delivery.
- Strong market research and competitive analysis skills, comfortable with both qualitative discovery and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent written communication: able to write crisp PRDs, executive summaries and commercial narratives.
- Comfortable engaging directly with engineering at a technical level (APIs, data models, integration architecture).
- Data‑driven, confident in defining success metrics and using them to make prioritisation decisions.
- Ability to operate with autonomy in a lean, fast‑moving team where you’ll wear multiple hats.
Nice to Have:
- Domain knowledge in EDI, supply‑chain, ERP integration or procurement technology.
- Understanding of e‑invoicing standards and regulatory trends (Peppol, EN16931, Making Tax Digital).
Benefits:
- Competitive salary with performance‑linked incentives tied to product and business outcomes.
- Real ownership: a genuine product mandate, not a feature factory.
- AI‑first engineering culture: an active R&D pipeline and appetite to build intelligent product capabilities.
- Commercial context: direct access to customers, sales and revenue data to ground every product decision.
- Supportive leadership: transparent MD and a leadership team invested in building the right product the right way.
- Clear growth path: as Celtrino scales its product portfolio, so does the scope of this role with a natural path to VP Product.
