The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.
We are currently recruiting two Weekend General Catering Assistants to join our catering team at an independent living facility in Kenfig Hill:
- 1 x Weekend General Assistant - 8 hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am - 2:00pm
- 1 x Weekend General Assistant - 4 hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday, 11:30am - 1:30pm
Additional hours may be offered as needed to provide cover for holidays, sickness, or other absences.
Responsibilities
Both roles will operate under the direction of the Cook, assisting with food preparation and service, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and carrying out general kitchen support duties as required. As this is a customer-facing position, patience and strong customer service skills are essential. Successful candidates will work as part of a small team. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation and service of breakfast and lunch
- Ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organised
- Serving customers
- Adhering to food safety regulations
- Completing any other related duties as required
Qualifications
A Level 2 Food Safety certificate would be beneficial; however, candidates should be willing to complete any training necessary for the role. Previous catering experience is desirable, along with the flexibility to support all areas of the kitchen to maintain required standards. Applicants should be approachable, reliable, and committed to teamwork and delivering a high-quality service.
