General Assistant required: Hours of work will be 15 hours per week, working Monday to Friday as follows:
- Monday 9.00am-11.00am
- Tuesday 9.00am-11.30am
- Wednesday 9.00am-1.30pm (30 min unpaid break)
- Thursday 9.00am-11.30am
- Friday 9.00am-1.30pm (30 min unpaid break)
A general assistant position has arisen within Celtic Catering to work under the supervision of the Chef Manager to assist and carry out any instructions given in the preparation, cooking and serving of food, barista duties, cleaning processes and handling of cash.
Responsibilities:
- Help with the preparation and serving of the breakfast and lunch service within a staff canteen.
- Keep the kitchen clean and tidy.
- Serve customers and comply with food safety legislation.
- Carry out all other related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a current Food Safety Level 2 would be an advantage.
- The candidate should be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the post.
- Catering experience is preferred with the ability to assist in all areas of the kitchen to achieve the required standards.
- The applicant should have an approachable manner with commitment and teamwork towards the service.
