Locum General Practitioner (GP)-

Clinical System: EMIS Web / Systm One (practice dependent) Session Type: Face-to-Face Consultations, Telephone Consultations & Self-Generated Administration

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Locum GPs to support a well-established primary care provider with a high volume of sessions available from August through to December 2026, with opportunities for regular and ongoing work.

The role offers a mix of AM, PM, and full-day sessions across multiple practices, making it ideal for clinicians seeking flexible locum commitments or consistent long-term work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face patient consultations
  • Deliver telephone consultations where required
  • Complete self-generated administration and clinical documentation
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred care within a primary care setting

Requirements

  • GMC registration and licence to practise
  • Current Performers List registration
  • Previous UK General Practice experience
  • Experience using EMIS Web and/or Systm One preferred
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills

  • DBS certificate (issued within the last 3 years)
  • GMC certificate (dated within the last month)
  • Current Performers List registration
  • Medical indemnity insurance
  • Immunisation records (MMR, DTP, Hep B, Varicella, COVID-19)
  • Basic Life Support
  • Infection Control
  • Information Governance
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Safeguarding Children

In addition, candidates must provide

  • Smartcard number
  • NHS email address (with Microsoft licence assigned)
  • Prescribing number
