We are excited to receive applications for an experienced industrial & automatic door engineer to install, repair and maintain a variety of doors, gates and barriers throughout Northern England & Scotland. Key Responsibilities
- Service our market leading and all other manufacturers doors at customer sites (mechanical and electrical work involved)
- Install and commission our market leading products
- Work at height using MEWP
- Liase and communicate well with colleagues and customers to ensure successful fault finding and repair, planned maintenance or commissioning or handover
Candidate Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of servicing and repairing industrial and specialist doors, including roller shutters, sectional overhead doors, rapid rise doors, horizontal and vertical sliding doors
- Mechanical engineering skills and competence
- Ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Fault finding and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to operate a MEWP and work safely at heights
- 18th edition IEE training and certificate
- ECS card and equivalent IPAF and PASMA qualifications
- Door and hardware federation (DHF) safety certificate
- Competent electrician, capable of installing containment, running mains cabling and control circuits. Terminating same accurately and to a high standard.
- Understand wiring diagrams, able to fault find and service door motors and controls
- Familiar with safety requirements of common door types - safety devices/anti fall-back devices
