Machine Driver Celsa UK – Sunderland Salary £28,000 Monday to Friday 7am-4pm From tipping lorries to inspecting scrap metal youll cover all jobs in the Sunderland Scrap Yard. It wont be a boring day, one day you could be operating heavy machinery and the next you could be completing maintenance checks. Health and safety will be your number one priority in everything that you do, not only for yourself but also for the rest of the team. Youll have experience working in a yard or a similar environment. Itll be great if you have knowledge of scrap metal but whats important is that youre keen to learn and have the ability to pick up new skills. Youll be operating some big machinery, in particular a 35t Material Handlers, so experience operating 360 machines will be vital. The scrap that youll process is sent to our Melt Shop where its recycled into new steel products were the largest producer of reinforcing steel in the UK and the second largest steel recycler in Europe.
