We’re seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager / Water Business Development Manager to support the growth of our water testing and inspection services. This role plays a key part in our expansion strategy, helping us deliver compliance, risk management, remedial works, and consultancy services to an expanding client portfolio. You’ll work towards clear targets with a competitive salary and commission structure.
About Us: Founded in 2011, Primary Water Solutions—part of the Celnor Group—are specialists in water hygiene and treatment. Backed by industry-leading experts in legionella management and compliance, we deliver consultancy, legionella risk assessments, water treatment, monitoring, and training across all aspects of water hygiene and legionella control. This is a hybrid role, ideally suited to candidates based in the Reading / Thames Valley region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage prospective clients through inbound and outbound sales, converting leads into long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with our marketing team on targeted lead-generation campaigns.
- Follow up on inbound leads from PPC and online marketing activity.
- Maintain accurate sales records within Salesforce to support forecasting and strategic planning.
- Work with internal teams to prepare accurate pricing, proposals, and service information.
- Negotiate contracts and successfully close deals that deliver value for both clients and the business.
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets, with excellent opportunities for career progression.
We’re looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, a strong commercial mindset, and solid knowledge of the water sector.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- Ideally a member of WMSOC.
- Proactive, resilient, and driven, with the ability to excel in a fast‑paced sales environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident engaging customers via phone, email, and face‑to‑face.
- Excellent relationship‑building skills with the ability to nurture long‑term partnerships.
- Experience in transactional sales, including cold calling and generating leads through market tools.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, capable of identifying opportunities and closing deals.
- Highly self‑motivated, able to work independently and within a collaborative team.
- Confident IT user, including Microsoft Office.
- Passionate about business development, sales, and the environmental / water sector, with a desire for continuous learning.
