Job details
- Prepare and submit planning and building regulations applications for projects.
- Produce tender specifications, carry out tender analysis, and prepare tender reports.
- Assist senior staff with Party Wall matters under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
- Manage selected projects, including stock condition surveys and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
- Support senior surveyors with contract administration duties under various forms of JCT contracts.
- Carry out site inspections and investigations, diagnosing defects through testing, sampling, and opening-up works where required.
- Produce clear, accurate reports on building condition and recommended remedial works, while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and providing professional H&S advice where necessary.
Who you are
- MRICS qualified Chartered Building Surveyor with strong professional knowledge of building surveying practices.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods and materials, with experience preparing specifications and schedules of work.
- Strong contract administration experience, particularly working with JCT forms of contract.
- Solid understanding of planning and building regulations approval processes.
- Significant site inspection experience, monitoring works and recording progress on active construction sites.
- Confident leading and participating in project meetings with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Experienced in producing technical reports, including feasibility, defect, and condition reports, with knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM Regulations, and fire safety standards (NEBOSH and Party Wall experience beneficial).
