We are seeking a Skilled Technician - Carpenter to join our Fire & Flood team, based in Swindon and surrounding areas. This role involves the delivery of carpentry works ranging from minor reactive repairs through to full kitchen installation and reinstatement fit-outs within domestic and commercial restoration projects. You will work on diverse projects, providing high-quality carpentry expertise and ensuring all work meets our stringent standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • First and second fix carpentry
  • Door and frame installation
  • Skirting, architrave, and finishing carpentry
  • Stud partition construction
  • Flooring installation
  • Minor structural timber repairs
  • Accurate measuring and setting out
  • Full kitchen removal and installation
  • Cabinet fitting and alignment
  • Worktop installation including laminate and solid surface materials
  • Integration of appliances
  • Coordination with plumbing and electrical trades
  • Adjustment, finishing, and snag rectification
  • Execution of minor repairs and patch works
  • Partial kitchen replacements and full kitchen strip-out and reinstatement
  • Working within occupied domestic properties in a professional and courteous manner
  • Working to agreed programmes and deadlines
  • Compliance with health and safety requirements on site

Skills, Knowledge, And Expertise

  • NVQ Level 2 in Site Carpentry or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to undertake first and second fix carpentry to a high standard
  • Competency in kitchen installation and fitting
  • Accurate measuring, marking out, and fitting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other trades

Salary And Benefits
