SSG Training & Consultancy Ltd supports businesses to improve health, safety, environmental, HR, and compliance performance through industry accredited training, including UKATA asbestos awareness, alongside advisory and consultancy services delivered via classroom, online, and virtual formats.
This role is based at our Plymouth head office, with travel across the South West and occasional nationwide work, supported by flexible/home working. You will deliver high-quality training across accredited courses including IOSH, IEMA, NEBOSH, PASMA, and SSG programmes, acting as a mentor and a SME who inspires a positive approach to safety.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging SSG certified, and externally accredited training, using flexible delivery methods including in-person, virtual, hybrid, and e-learning.
- Adapt confidently to different training environments and locations, maintaining consistent quality and learner experience.
- Review, develop, and improve training courses and materials, while actively engaging in CPD and upskilling.
- Provide H&S consultancy services, including site inspections, incident investigations, gap analyses, and practical improvement recommendations.
- Produce clear, accurate reports and apply academic and industry knowledge to deliver solutions based advice to clients.
- Support wider business activities, including sales tenders, project work, toolbox talks, and collaboration in line with company values.
- Have Tech IOSH membership or higher (essential), with NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
- Chartered IOSH status and Diploma level qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Proven experience delivering health and safety training, both in person and online.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly motivated, customer-focused, and able to work independently while maintaining high professional standards.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- A specialism in Fire, ISO, or Construction is advantageous.
