We are looking for an experienced Associate Director – Building Consultancy to join CHPK, part of the wider Celnor Group. This is a key leadership role, supporting the strategic direction, technical delivery and commercial performance of CHPK’s Building Consultancy service line. Reporting to the Director, you will help lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality professional consultancy services across a broad range of sectors. The role combines technical leadership, commercial awareness, people management, client development and strategic thinking. You will also play an important part in supporting the continued growth of the business through excellent client service, mentoring colleagues and contributing to business development activity.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Building Consultancy professional who is technically strong, commercially minded and ready to take on a senior leadership role within a supportive and growing consultancy.

What you will do:

  • Support the strategic growth and development of CHPK’s Building Consultancy service line.
  • Lead the delivery of Building Surveying, Project Management, Contract Administration, Employer’s Agent and Technical Due Diligence services.
  • Oversee project quality, commercial performance, resourcing and workload management.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Support fee proposals, budgets, forecasting and commercial negotiations.
  • Mentor and develop colleagues, including supporting APC candidates and professional development.
  • Contribute to internal procedures, governance, quality standards and continuous improvement.

Who you are:

  • Significant experience working within a Building Consultancy or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Strong experience delivering professional Building Consultancy services.
  • A strong technical background across Building Surveying and related consultancy disciplines.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project profitability.
  • Experience managing and developing client relationships.
  • Experience supporting business development and identifying new opportunities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working across a range of sectors, ideally including: Commercial, Industrial & Logistics, Education, Residential, Hotels, Public Sector.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders effectively.
  • A strong commitment to quality, technical excellence and client service.

Desirable:

  • MRICS or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting APC candidates.
  • Experience contributing to business planning, forecasting and service line growth.
  • An established network of industry and client contacts.
