Vision Survey is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to lead our talented team and drive our commitment to exceptional service delivery in the surveying and engineering sectors. In this key position, you will be at the forefront of managing teams, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
As a Team Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of tasks, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Your role involves building and maintaining strong team relationships, identifying opportunities for team development, and implementing solutions to meet the evolving needs of the team. Your managership will guide your team towards achieving the company's strategic objectives and contributing to its growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and identify development opportunities to support professional growth. Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment.
- Operational Planning & Delivery: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of tasks and projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Monitor site progress and deliverables, reporting any delays or client concerns to the Head of Service.
- Resource & Schedule Management: Maintain and update the resource schedule to ensure staff are informed of their assignments in advance. Coordinate with Admin Support to keep asset and fleet records current. Provide timely workload notifications, including for night and weekend shifts, and ensure accurate timesheet submissions.
- Site Readiness & Safety: Ensure safe and efficient work practices by arranging site access, delivering clear staff briefings, and preparing RAMS and pre-site documentation. Confirm that staff have the correct PPE and necessary equipment, including spares to prevent disruptions.
- Communication & Issue Resolution: Facilitate effective communication between site and office teams to ensure smooth operations and data transfer. Resolve team-related issues such as equipment, access, or logistical challenges, and support the Head of Service in maintaining operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Experience with budgeting and resource management.
