As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will conduct compliant risk assessments across commercial and industrial sites in line with ACOP L8, HSG274 (Parts 13), and company standards. Working independently and with the Water Hygiene Team, you will assess, document, and report on systems to help clients effectively manage and reduce Legionella risk.
What you will do:
- Lead professional Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274, protecting clients across commercial and industrial environments.
- Identify system risks with confidence, delivering clear, practical, and compliance driven control recommendations.
- Conduct detailed system inspections including temperature profiling, flow testing, asset evaluation, and schematic updates.
- Produce high quality, client ready reports with photographic evidence, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, confidently explaining findings and guiding long term water safety strategies.
- Manage your own workload across Bristol and surrounding areas, planning site visits efficiently and delivering reports within SLA timescales.
Who you are:
- Demonstrable experience (2+ years) delivering complex Legionella risk assessments across diverse commercial and industrial environments.
- Advanced technical knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274 (Parts 13), with the ability to interpret guidance and apply it confidently in varied system types.
- Proven track record of producing comprehensive, audit-ready reports.
- Ability to operate autonomously, manage regional workloads effectively.
- Recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) with full UK driving licence.
