APEC are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Asbestos Analyst to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting air monitoring, four-stage clearances, bulk sampling, and asbestos fibre counting in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.

What you will do:

  • Conduct air monitoring and fibre counting.
  • Perform four stage clearance procedures.
  • Carry out smoke tests and visual inspections.
  • Collect bulk samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE guidance.
  • Produce accurate reports and maintain clear documentation.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site personnel.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment in line with UKAS standards.

Who you are:

  • BOHS P403 & P404 qualified (essential).
  • Experienced in asbestos air monitoring and four stage clearance testing.
  • Knowledgeable in HSG248 and current UK asbestos legislation.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Professional communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Desirable:
  • Additional BOHS modules (P401, P402).
  • Experience across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites.
  • Previous experience within a UKAS accredited laboratory environment.
