Strategic Responsibilities- Commercial Leadership
- Define and execute the UK sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
- Drive investment decisions and ensure optimal ROI through rigorous financial analysis and forecasting.
- Establish KPIs and implement robust performance monitoring frameworks to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic direction for the sales organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee Regional Business Managers and Key Account Managers, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, joint field visits, and targeted training.
- Optimize pipeline management and indication prioritization to maximize market penetration.
- Lead pricing and reimbursement strategies with NICE and NHS, ensuring competitive positioning.
- Implement advanced segmentation and targeting methodologies to capture high-value opportunities.
- Develop and execute KOL engagement plans and Sales Force Effectiveness initiatives.
- Work with Market Access and provide input to shape market access strategies to secure formulary listings and reimbursement approvals.
- Work with Supply Chain when required to support strategic partnerships for example with wholesalers and homecare providers to strengthen distribution channels.
- Partner with Marketing to define vision, strategy, and execution plans for brand penetration and growth.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs to ensure ABPI compliance and leverage clinical data for commercial advantage.
- Provide candid feedback to HQ to influence global strategies and operational improvements.
- Drive talent development initiatives, ensuring the team is equipped with skills for current and future business needs.
- Lead recruitment and resource planning to maintain organizational agility and scalability.
Annual objectives agreed with the General Manager; progress tracked via structured reviews and KPIs.
Experience & Qualifications- Minimum 10 years in senior commercial/sales leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven success in product launches, P&L management, and delivering sales/profit targets.
- Strong stakeholder network (NHS, NICE, KOLs) and expertise in UK healthcare market dynamics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, International Business, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
