We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, delivering and collecting goods between customer sites. Up to 5 deliveries/collections per shift, trunking between our national sites and general haulage work.
Responsibilities
- Operate a box lorry to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with the transport regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Load and unload pallets and freight, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the lorry.
Requirements
- HGV Licence Class 2
- Valid Digi Tacho & DCPC card
- Minimum 6 months' experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Good communication skills & a team-focused attitude
