If so, Cellerate are looking for an Operations Manager/ Operations Planning Manager to join their small team in this exciting full-time permanent position based on site in central Manchester.

About the role:

We’re looking for a proactive Operations Manager/ Operations Planning Manager to join our small team. You will lead and deliver operational and technical projects, while also coordinating production activities to ensure customer orders and internal initiatives are completed efficiently. This includes supporting product development, research activities, and facility improvements, alongside maintaining structured and reliable production workflows. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and requires managing multiple priorities while taking ownership of projects and operational processes. This is not a purely administrative or IT-based project role; it requires hands-on involvement in a technical, production-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver operational and technical projects (including product development and facility initiatives), ensuring timelines, risks, and deliverables are actively managed.
  • Plan and coordinate production schedules, track KPIs, and manage order fulfilment, addressing risks proactively.
  • Coordinate procurement, assembly, testing, and logistics to ensure smooth workflows and resolve supply or delivery issues.
  • Support operational processes, including returns, documentation, and supplier invoice management.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying workflow efficiencies and process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and leadership teams to support business objectives and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A highly organised and detail-oriented individual with proven project management experience in a manufacturing or technical environment, combined with strong operational awareness.
  • Experience delivering projects involving physical products, manufacturing processes, or operational environments. Experience coordinating production, operations, or supply chain processes is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing, production planning, or operational workflows is required. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, logistics, or supply chain processes is advantageous.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with keen attention to detail, particularly in managing documentation and processes. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams. Self-motivated and able to take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
