About the Role
You’ll support the Assistant Warehouse Manager and help oversee the day-to-day running of the Warehouse. This role is key to ensuring that all stock is received, processed, stored, and dispatched accurately, efficiently, and safely. You’ll supervise warehouse staff, drive performance, and ensure smooth operations across both goods-in and despatch. You’ll also become a super user of our warehouse management systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that promote best practices across the function.
What You’ll Do
- Team Leadership: Supervisory responsibility for operatives, allocating tasks, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and reviews.
- Goods In & Despatch: Oversee receipt, checking, packing, labelling, and timely dispatch of goods, in line with agreed KPI’s.
- Stock Control: Maintain accuracy, manage returns, and conduct regular audits.
- Training & Performance: Undertake performance reviews, coach team members, ensure procedural compliance, and promote continuous improvement.
- Warehouse Layout & Safety: Optimise space, meet H&S standards, through maintaining a clean & compliant environment.
- Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Coordinate with other departments, acting as the first point of contact for your department’s communications.
- Reporting & Improvements: Monitor & own departmental KPIs, support system/process upgrades, and ensure accurate documentation in line with Quality systems.
