Modem System Engineer
Role & Responsibilities
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for defining our newest products, working with our project team members, suppliers and customers. You will join the team leading the development of satellite communication products which are part of the RF chain linking the ground station antenna to its central control station, such as high-speed data receivers used in scientific missions, telecommand and telemetry baseband modems and RF frequency converters, taking the technical leadership role from design to final verification.
You will actively contribute to the definition of technical requirements, test plans and procedures, as well as architectural design, simulations, development of sub-systems and test support. You will also support business development activities, participate in conferences and present technical papers.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Master’s / PhD in telecommunications engineering or equivalent through experience
- Extensive knowledge of signal processing theory
- Highly skilled in Matlab and C/C++ programming
- Technical leadership
- Knowledge and experience of 5G and/or DVB-S2/S2X (layers 1 & 2) is a big plus, as is experience in the complete cycle from design up to validation
- Motivation, dynamism, sense of ownership and commitment and being a team player
