General Summary
Reporting to the Manufacturing Team Leader, the Skilled Operator is responsible for final product assembly, testing and NDE. This role requires traveling to the UK, overseas and offshore installations on behalf of Celeros Flow Technology to perform service and maintenance contracts.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure that all manufacturing aspects—including assembly and testing—are efficiently controlled and successfully completed within required timescales.
- Operate machinery with the necessary training or experience and participate in the multi‑skilling objective within the company.
- Maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Work in an efficient and organised way, managing non‑productive time to avoid unnecessary costs.
- Assist with factory maintenance programmes and maintain a clean, efficient, tidy work area.
- Assist in packing, stores and paint areas when necessary to meet business requirements.
- Travel to UK, overseas and offshore installations on behalf of Celeros to perform service/maintenance contracts, requiring offshore survival training and medicals.
- Work a reasonable amount of overtime as required by the company, customer and project deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong industrial experience including machining, welding or fabrication within a similar role and/or apprenticeship time served.
- Sound mechanical engineering background; HNC or higher preferred.
- Highly organised with excellent communication and time management skills.
Education And Experience
- HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
- Similar industry working environment is highly desirable.
