As an Apprentice Fitter / Technician, you will work with highly skilled individuals and develop competencies across the fitting and testing functions in the factory. You will learn to work from engineering drawings and technical data to produce components used primarily in the power and energy industry. Health and safety awareness will be developed throughout the programme, supporting a zero harm culture.

The four-year programme combines internal training with NVQ & BTEC qualifications.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Work through a 4-year internal apprenticeship training programme, including fitting, testing, quality inspection/assurance, assisting with factory maintenance and CES programmes.
  • Attend day release college and complete all assignments and examinations to obtain relevant BTEC qualifications.
  • Complete NVQ level 3 qualification in conjunction with the education provider.
  • Complete and present a variety of projects on engineering subjects related to your training.
Skills, Education And Experience:
  • GCSE passes or equivalent in Maths, English and Science.
  • A willingness to learn and take on new/challenging responsibilities.
  • A commitment to completing a four-year Apprenticeship scheme.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be eligible to obtain security clearance for this role.
