The Quality Inspector will be required to conduct the inspection of all pump component parts to the standards explained in the Bill of Materials.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspection and recording of component dimensions in accordance with the engineering drawings and specifications for each pump component.
- Recording and documenting of component deficiencies via our NCR system (SAP).
- Understanding and interpreting complex engineering drawings for dimensional and visual acceptance.
Education and Experience
- Time served within an engineering function, with at least 3 years relevant experience preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment with a machining bias.
- Experience using a wide variety of metrology equipment and familiarity with a similar environment or industry.
- Basic knowledge of computers and good communication skills.
- Manufacturing experience, HS&E awareness.
- A working knowledge of CMMs, along with an understanding of NDE processes would be an advantage.
