GENERAL SUMMARY
As part of the Commercial Team, the Gradauate Apprentice will support the creation of BOMs, supporting Sales, Tendering, Operations, and Field Service activities globally.
They will also support the Commercial Team in the creation of manufacturing BOM’s and purchase specifications for pump assembly manufacture, pump parts manufacture and service center overhauls etc.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work through a 4-year apprenticeship training program gaining exposure to all other manufacturing departments.
- Creating BOM’s (Bill of Materials)
- Providing technical support to Tendering, Purchasing and Operations
- Investigating customer complaints
- Customers e.g., Information requests
- Tendering e.g., advising on correct Material Masters
- Operations e.g., answering technical queries
- Purchasing e.g., answering technical queries
- Quality e.g., requesting quality plans
- Service Centers e.g., specification of parts for overhaul
- Warranty – specification of parts for warranty
- Projects – attending project meetings
- Stock – answering stock related queries
- Attend day release college and complete all assignments & examinations to obtain relevant qualifications.
- Complete BEng (Hons) Engineering (Design and Manufacture)qualification in conjunction with the education provider.
- During the apprenticeship complete and present a variety of projects on engineering subjects related to your training
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 4 Highers:BBCC or equivalent incl Higher in Maths and a Science or Technology
- A willingness to learn and to take on new / challenging responsibilities within the business
- A commitment to completing a four-year Apprenticeship scheme
- Desire to continue education beyond a four year Apprenticeship programme
