General Summary

As part of a team within the assembly and test area, the Mechanical Fitter will work on pumps for capital and aftermarket jobs. Responsibilities include:

  • Assembly and dismantling of products in accordance with work instructions.
  • Testing within all test areas including Hydro, performance, noise, and vibration.
  • Providing specialist technical and craft knowledge of Plenty Pump products for field service support at customer sites.
  • Client interaction and assistance in RCA processes.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work efficiently in accordance with Departmental Interface Procedures.
  • Complete Strip Inspection report writing.
  • Ensure economic manufacturing to the correct quality standard.
  • Assist with problems in the assembly and test department.
  • Travel to customer sites including UK and overseas installations.
  • Provide site technical and product support to clients.
  • Execute site support aspects of Plenty Pump Maintenance Best Practice.
  • Liaise with Service, Aftermarket, Engineering, and Clients on results and recommendations.
  • Provide client training on Plenty Pump product equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Celeros EH&S requirements.
  • Create a positive work environment with colleagues and customers.
  • Support and train peers and apprentices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Education, Skills And Experience

  • ONC/HNC (or equivalent) Mechanical/Production engineering.
  • Proven track record in a similar role.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid right to work in the UK.
