Mylar Specialty Films (Formerly Dupont Teijin Films) is a leading global producer of PET and PEN polyester films specialising in film products and related services for markets and industries including Durable Cards, Electrical Insulation, Flexible Electronics, Healthcare, Imaging Media, Labels, Packaging, Photovoltaics and many more. The role is for a UK based account manager primarily covering sales in the UK although there may be opportunities to manage accounts in other EMEA countries. The account management role is focused around three main commercial areas: Account planning and management, sales pipeline development and value capture.
Responsibilities:
- The account manager is the primary commercial contact for new and existing customers in the assigned region, building and growing relationships within different functions and seniority levels within key customers.
- Meet and exceed sales targets in line with the Global and Regional Business Strategies.
- Sales pipeline development - Identify and deliver new business opportunities at new or existing customers.
- Develop close working relationship with customer service team and other cross functional teams within Mylar Specialty Films business.
- Implement specific actions in line with global and regional business strategies to enhance profitability.
- Responsible for 18 month rolling sales forecast for assigned accounts.
- Working with customer service team, ensure that cash receivables are managed at assigned accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans (key account plan).
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of proven work experience in an account management role in technical films, plastics or similar industry.
- Strong account management and relationship-building skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel 30% - 60% of the time either domestically or within EMEA region.
- Fluent English (additional European languages are a strong advantage).
- A collective, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and address customer needs.
