CEL Solicitors are looking to hire an experienced, ambitious and dedicated Solicitor to be part of a swiftly developing civil litigation team covering various types of matter including professional negligence, commercial litigation, clinical negligence and insurance disputes.
You will be part of a collaborative and well supported team. You will be expected to assume responsibility for advancing cases from inception to conclusion and to assist on higher value and more complex matters. Continuing education is a significant part of the team's ethos and full knowledge and experience in the relevant areas of the team's business is not essential for the candidate. We will consider candidates who have practiced in any area of civil litigation with courses and training to be provided where skill gaps are identified.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our team. You will handle a wide range of claims and disputes, representing clients in negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings. The role involves managing and working within the team on complex and higher value cases, providing strategic legal advice, drafting legal documents, and advocating on behalf of clients. Training and courses on areas of law that are new to you will be provided but competent civil litigation skills are needed.

About you:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 8 years of experience in civil litigation; the role will involve development across various litigation fields and this will be carefully supervised and managed within the team to ensure continuous development of skills.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deliver excellent client service.
- In depth knowledge of the CPR, Court Rules and Case law in relation to Civil Litigation.
- Excellent Research Skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload involving disputes related to a full spectrum of professional negligence matters, contractual claims including insurance disputes, corporate governance, Director/Shareholder cases and more.
- Help to represent clients in appropriate court hearings and alternative dispute resolution forums.
- Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice and maintain strong client relationships.
- Draft and file legal documents and reports, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with the legal team and contribute to business development efforts.
