Role Overview

We are seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to support hardware validation and compliance testing for new and existing products. The role involves hands-on testing, test plan development, test reporting, and close collaboration with design and development teams, including testing at external test houses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on hardware testing and validation activities
  • Produce clear and accurate test reports, including results from external test houses
  • Create and develop test plans for new products and emerging technologies
  • Support Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation
  • Recommend further investigation or improvements based on test outcomes
  • Optimise test scripts and tools to improve efficiency and coverage
  • Organise, analyse, and present test data to clearly demonstrate results

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong engineering mindset with eagerness to learn new skills
  • Background in Electronics Engineering or related discipline
  • Hands-on experience with electronics test equipment:
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Digital Multimeters
  • Spectrum Analysers
  • Knowledge of compliance standards:
    • EMC
    • Radio
    • Safety
  • Experience attending and supporting testing at external test houses (Note: Candidates must not have medical conditions such as pacemakers that could prevent attendance)
  • Experience using test and validation methodologies, tools, and scripts
  • Ability to organise, analyse, and present test data effectively
  • Nice to Have (Non-Essential)

    • Experience collaborating with developers to design test cases
    • Ability to summarise technical information for different audiences
    • Experience managing a test workstack
    • Basic experience with Python coding or scripting
