Our client based in Huntingdon are looking to recruit an Assistant Warehouse Manager on a fulltime permanent basis. This is a brand new role to the company and the role will be supporting the Manager to ensure all orders are picked, packed and dispatched on a daily basis. The role is Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm (42.5 hours).

Responsibilities of an Assistant Warehouse Manager:

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager in planning and executing daily warehouse operations.
  • Supervise and mentor warehouse staff to ensure productivity and compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability of stock.
  • Coordinate with other departments for timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Handle inventory discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
  • Generate and analyse reports on warehouse performance and make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role you will have experience working within a warehouse environment and looking to step up from a Team Leader/ supervisory role. Managing 3 direct reports with a total of 14 workers in the department in terms of day to day activities to ensure targets are met. The company offer excellent benefits including 25 days holiday plus stat hols, inflated pension and a salary up to GBP38,000 for this role.
