Cegal is evolving its Geoscience portfolio with a strong emphasis on geophysics solutions, including Blueback Avary, Blueback Rock Physics, and Blueback Well Ties. These products enable advanced subsurface interpretation and quantitative workflows for the energy industry. We are looking for a Product Manager to define the future strategy of this portfolio, ensuring our solutions deliver measurable value and remain aligned with market needs.
In this role, you will be the strategic link between geoscientists, software engineers, and commercial teams. Your focus will be to turn complex geoscience challenges into innovative, scalable software products.
Key Responsibilities- Define and communicate product vision and strategy aligned with Cegal's goals.
- Build and maintain a long-term roadmap.
- Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities.
- Engage with customers to validate priorities and understand pain points.
- Prioritize development based on strategic impact and customer value.
- Develop business cases for new features and products.
- Drive go-to-market plans, including positioning and pricing.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing for successful launches.
- Support technical sales and deliver product training.
- Represent Cegal at industry events and conferences.
You combine technical understanding with strategic and commercial perspectives and thrive in crossâfunctional environments. You have a genuine interest in geoscience technology and creating products that make a difference. You likely have:
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in geophysics or related discipline preferred.
- Extensive experience in applied geophysics, ideally 8+ years, with an E&P focus.
- Proven track record in quantitative interpretation (e.g., seismic conditioning, inversion, rock physics).
- Product management or technical sales experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloudâbased geoscience platforms (e.g., OSDU) is desirable.
- Strong understanding of seismic interpretation workflows and reservoir characterization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
