Cegal is growing to become a leading global technology company for the energy industry, on an ambitious journey to scale in the UK and globally. As our new People Experience & AI Specialist, UK, you’ll lead and deliver the UK People agenda. You’ll shape employee experience, support leaders, and modernise how we work with systems, data, and AI during a period of rapid growth and change.
This is a key role in our growth journey — working closely with the UK Managing Director and leadership team, and reporting to the Manager PE Operations & AI in Norway, collaborating across countries and functions.
About the role
Based in our London office, you will serve as the primary People Specialist for our UK organisation, supporting its expansion into the Netherlands and Africa. In this role, you’ll blend strategic partnership with hands‑on ownership. As People Experience & AI Specialist, UK, you’ll lead and evolve the UK People agenda — supporting immediate business needs while enabling long‑term growth.
We’re on a transformation journey, strengthening systems, refining processes, and using People Analytics and AI to modernise how we work. You’ll help make People Experience more scalable, data‑driven, and future‑ready — building structure, improving workflows, driving automation, and influencing stakeholders at every level.
Key responsibilities
- Continuously improve the end-to-end employee lifecycle (onboarding, transfers, promotions, offboarding, and organisational changes).
- Drive standardisation, optimisation and automation of HR processes to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, including the Employee Handbook and local policies.
- Ensure all HR processes and decisions comply with UK employment law.
- Leverage HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors or similar) to optimise workflows, data quality and reporting.
- Contribute to developing more digital and AI‑supported ways of working within People Experience.
- Act as the trusted People specialist to the UK Managing Director and leadership team.
- Hold overarching responsibility for shaping and delivering the UK People Experience agenda in alignment with global frameworks.
- Support complex organisational change, including restructuring, integrations and growth initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the global People Experience team to ensure consistency and continuous improvement across countries.
- Support the rollout and embedding of new company values in the UK, translating them into behaviours, systems and people practices.
- Partner with leaders to build a strong, inclusive and performance‑oriented culture aligned with our global ambitions.
- Proactively challenge and coach leaders and colleagues where needed, strengthening accountability and decision‑making.
