About the role

As a Data Administrator at CEF, you'll be responsible for keeping our core business data accurate, consistent and up to date.

On a daily basis, you'll maintain company-wide databases covering products, suppliers, users, locations and classifications, ensuring information is reliable and ready to support our branch network and wider teams.

You'll handle data queries and requests through Jira Service Desk, email and phone, working closely with branches, internal departments and external suppliers.

The role also involves processing supplier price updates, supporting GP monitoring and carrying out analysis using tools such as Excel and Power BI.

Alongside this, you'll contribute to project work and help administer additional processes as needed, playing a key part in how information flows across the business.

Our Data Management team are based from Janet Nash House, usually spending 3x days in the office and up to 2x days from home as agreed with your Line Manager.

  • Maintaining our company wide databases including but not limited to: Product, Supplier, User, Location and Classification.
  • Providing support to colleagues via Jira Service Desk, Email and Telephone.
  • Working with External Suppliers, Procurement and our inhouse companies to ensure price updates are received and processed efficiently, accurately and to specific deadlines.
  • Analytics and GP Monitoring using Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other tools.
  • Project Work
  • Administration of all other Corporate Data Processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills specifically the ability to define formulas and use VLOOKUP tools.

  • Ability to spot potential data anomalies based on predetermined guidelines.
