About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Lead to join our growing team. You’ll take ownership of strategic direction across a portfolio of clients, combining sharp technical SEO skills with a consultative, relationship-first approach to client management. You’ll be confident leading conversations with stakeholders, presenting insights and recommendations, and driving long-term organic growth. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to shape and mentor a small team, guide client strategies, and have a real impact on performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Leadership: Act as the main point of contact for key SEO accounts, building strong, trusted relationships and translating complex SEO concepts into clear business value.
- Strategy & Execution: Develop, implement and own tailored SEO strategies across a mix of B2B and B2C clients, aligned with their objectives.
- Technical SEO: Lead audits, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical recommendations across crawling, indexation, site speed, structure, and more.
- Team Management: Line manage two SEO Specialists, providing mentorship, performance support, and opportunities for development.
- Reporting & Insights: Own monthly reporting and performance reviews, using data to drive actionable insight and inform next steps.
- Collaboration: Work closely with content, PR, and dev teams (internal and client-side) to deliver integrated strategies and project delivery.
- Process Improvement: Help evolve internal processes, documentation, and ways of working to drive efficiency and high standards across the SEO function.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years experience in SEO, ideally in an agency or client-facing role.
- Strong background in technical SEO – able to confidently lead audits, troubleshoot issues, and communicate technical concepts.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining great client relationships.
- Comfortable leading strategy and taking ownership of performance across multiple accounts.
- Experience line managing or mentoring others, with a collaborative leadership style.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Comfortable using tools like Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush/Ahrefs, and Data Studio/Looker.
