This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced Finance Director, ideally with prior exposure to PE-backed environments and buy-and-build strategies. The UK FD will act as a strategic partner to the Group CFO, taking full ownership of the UK finance function and supporting the wider business through its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of UK statutory and consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Drive financial governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance across UK operations.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Manage UK banking relationships, audit processes, and treasury operations.
  • Support M&A activity including financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-deal integration.
  • Collaborate with Group and local teams to implement and enhance management information systems and reporting tools.
  • Partner with operational leaders, HR, and M&A teams to align financial strategy with business objectives.
  • Provide commercial insight to support strategic decision-making, investment appraisals, and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing UK finance team with a focus on continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience in senior finance leadership roles.
  • Experience in a multi-site, service-led, or field-based operational model is preferred.
  • Track record of working within PE-backed businesses or fast-growth environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial control, commercial finance, and strategic planning.
  • Comfortable navigating complex, fast-paced, and evolving business environments.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and collaborative leadership style.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
