Cedar is exclusively supporting a Public Sector client in the North East who are looking to hire 2 x Procurement Managers. Both roles are permanent opportunities and offer a salary ranged from £50,000 up to £60,000 per annum with a range of great benefits which also include a Local Government Pension.
The roles will operate on a hybrid basis - the usual expectation to be on-site is 3 days per week; however, this will be flexible to support workload and delivery.
Working as part of a growing Procurement team, joining at a key time and supporting the implementation of the new Category Management structure, the successful candidates will be responsible for managing full end to end procurement processes to ensure compliance, in line with the new Public Sector Procurement Regulations (PA23), and provide value for money for a range of Goods and Services for areas such as Professional Services, Estates & FM, ICT & Digital and Construction & Infrastructure.
One of the roles will be responsible for managing 2 individuals and the other opportunity will have no direct line management but will support staff development and will be responsible for managing resource on a project-by-project basis.
A key part of the role will be Stakeholder Management - the role will require you to effectively manage key stakeholders and ensure they are correctly being supported to deliver requirements compliantly at pace.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- c3+ years experience working in a similar role covering Procurement, Commercial, Contract or Category Management in either the Private or Public Sector
- Strong Stakeholder and Supplier Management skills
- Track record of delivering savings and running end to end Procurement projects compliantly
- Experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace would be advantageous
- Completion of PA23 training would be advantageous
