Cedar are supporting a specialist Procurement Consultancy, based in Derbyshire, who are growing and looking to hire a Senior Procurement Consultant to support their Public Sector clients. This is a permanent job opportunity offering a salary up to £65,000 per annum plus a range of benefits. This role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectations to be on-site approximately 3 days per week; this role may also include occasional travel to client sites for key meetings.
Reporting into the Procurement Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading client-facing procurement support for clients in the Public Sector. This will include:
- Managing end-to-end tender activity
- Reviewing terms and conditions
- Mapping procurement processes
- Developing specifications
- Advising on market engagement
- Delivering soft market testing
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, value for money, and delivering confident commercial advice to key stakeholders and clients engaged.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- Experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace, i.e. a role in Procurement, Category, Commercial and/or Contract Management
- Experience running end-to-end procurements in line with Public Sector Procurement Regulations
- PA23 trained (required) and ideally CIPS qualified (advantageous)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
