Senior Group FP&A Manager
C£90,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Sunderland & London / Hybrid

This market leading, multi-billion revenue European transport business has recently gone through a PE transaction. This deal has brought with it fresh investment, ambitious growth plans and a commitment to significant long-term capital.
As a response to the exciting change that the business is undergoing, the new role of Senior Group FP&A Manager has been created.
The main purpose of the role is to own and deliver the Group financial reporting and planning activities and ensure effective communication between the Shareholder, CFO, Corporate Reporting team and divisional finance teams. It includes:
- Providing strategic financial guidance and support to the business units, operating units, C-suite and external stakeholders.
- Accountable for the provision of financial support and analysis to a wide variety of senior stakeholders in strategic decision making.
- Collaborating with Corporate Reporting colleagues and divisional finance teams to drive process improvement and modernise ways of working through enhanced practices and technology adoption.
- Forecasts and year-end outlook
- Budget and 5-Year Business Plan (including early indicators)
- Develop clear financial narratives and provide analytical insight, including issue-based reconciliations, scenario modelling and capex capacity schedules.
- Constructively challenge and work with the divisional business partners and produce concise, insight-driven briefing papers. Communicate planning timelines and key assumptions effectively across stakeholders.
- Preparing and present financial outputs to EXCO and ISQ shareholders, ensuring clarity and strategic relevance.
- Providing analytical support to external parties including group auditors, banks and consultants.
- Delivering financial analysis and insight to support decision-making on strategic initiatives, group-wide benefit programmes (bonus, LTI), and ad hoc requests from the Director of Group Corporate Reporting, Group FD, EXCO and ISQ.
You will be an experienced finance professional with sophisticated analytical skills, the ability to make complex judgments and a deep understanding of FP&A.
With proven ability to drive improvements across FP&A, partner a wide range of senior stakeholders and experience of working within a large and complex business, you will have thrived within a fast paced and dynamic environment and displayed confidence in your own ability.
