Quantity Surveyors & Commercial Managers – Rail, Power & M&E

£60,000-£95,000 | London & Midlands

Working for large subcontractors delivering into Tier 1 contractors on major infrastructure programmes, including HS2.

All levels considered!

We’re recruiting experienced Quantity Surveyors, Senior QSs, and Commercial Managers to join established subcontractors working on high-value packages across rail systems, power infrastructure, and M&E.

These permanent roles offer long-term stability and the chance to work on some of the UK’s most complex infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing NEC3/NEC4 Option C contracts and commercial activities
  • Preparing and managing compensation events, entitlement assessments, and contract administration
  • Supporting cost forecasting, commercial reporting, and financial controls
  • Collaborating with Tier 1 clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to deliver projects on budget
  • Assisting with value engineering, cost management, and risk mitigation
  • Providing commercial advice and guidance to project teams and junior colleagues

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Experience working for subcontractors delivering into Tier 1s on major infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, especially Option C
  • Commercially astute with solid experience in cost forecasting, reporting, and contract management
  • Experience within rail systems, power (HV/LV), or M&E sectors preferred
  • Confident communicator with good negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with claims or dispute resolution is a plus
