Cedar are supporting a specialist SME Procurement Consultancy who are currently looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Consultant. This role is a permanent position with a salary up to £75,000 on offer plus a c10-20% bonus. This role will be a mixture of home and office/client based - predominantly home based with potential for 1-2 days per month on-site with assigned clients (if required).
The successful candidate will be assigned to support a key client, with the option to support other engagements/clients in the future, to deliver end to end procurements on requirements covering a range of Goods and Services. There will be some key focus in FM, so experience/understanding of this category is advantageous. You will be required to deal with key stakeholders and suppliers and ensure value for money/savings are delivered while also continuously looking to embed best practice for work you are engaged to support.
Please note this role does not have any line management responsibility or active business development requirements but this is something you could develop into on the job as opportunities develop.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- c5+ years' experience working in a Procurement & Supply Chain Consultancy and/or a Senior Functional role in a corporate environment
- Experience and understanding of Category Management
- Experience in various categories covering FM, IT & Digital, Professional Services and Corporate Services
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication and presentation skills - a track record delivering savings is key
- Experience managing a team and projects - managing consulting teams in various locations would be advantageous but is not required
