Are you a detail-driven finance professional with solid XERO experience looking to make your mark in a purpose-led startup? Cedar is working with a fast-growing fintech business that is transforming the real estate finance space through ethical, Shariah-compliant solutions.
As one of the first Islamic peer-to-peer property finance platforms directly authorised by the FCA, they are redefining how investors and developers connect, with transparency, impact, and inclusion at the core of their model. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at a pivotal stage. You will work closely with the CFO and leadership team, gaining hands-on exposure to real estate finance, Islamic finance, and the operations of a dynamic, scaling startup.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts
- Supporting FCA filings, audits, and compliance processes
- Owning day-to-day finance operations, reconciliations, and ad-hoc reporting
- Coordinating payroll input and liaising with HR
- Using the Xero ecosystem (including Dext, Mayday, and Fathom) to streamline processes
- Working closely with the CFO to shape scalable finance operations as the business grows
What We’re Looking For:
- 2-3 years of experience in a management accounting role
- Strong knowledge of Xero; bonus points for experience with Dext, Mayday, or Fathom
- Exposure to payroll and HR coordination
- Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable to change
- Bonus: Familiarity with real estate finance or Islamic finance
