Cedar is supporting a key Public Sector client, a Local Authority based in Central London, looking to hire an Interim Procurement Project Manager for a key programme of work covering Housing. This role offers a day rate up to £500 per day (INSIDE IR35) and has an initial contract duration of 6 months, with the potential to extend up to 18 months. The role operates on a hybrid working basis, with the expectation to be on-site 1 day per week. This is an urgent requirement, and the client ideally seeks someone who can start in August 2026.
The successful candidate will work alongside internal permanent Commercial and Legal resources and key external suppliers to ensure compliance, value for money, and delivery of a Competitive Flexible procurement procedure that meets the timescales set for this key Housing procurement project. They will provide effective advice and challenges to key stakeholders throughout the engagement.

- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Heating
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- Strong experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector Procurement marketplace, such as Procurement, Commercial, Category, or Contract Management
- Strong experience managing internal and external stakeholders, ideally with confidence and experience acting as a ‘Business Partner’
- Experience managing high-value procurement projects relating to Housing; experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Heating would be advantageous
- Completion of PA23 training is required for this role
