Cedar is partnering with a global consumer business who are looking to hire a qualified accountant to join a central Group Finance team. The central team is based in a unique and collaborative office environment and is guided by strong values around teamwork, integrity, continuous improvement, and doing business the right way. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end processes for several central group entities, including balance sheet reconciliations, cost centre analysis, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with finance teams across the group to ensure accurate monthly reporting.
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly Board reporting packs.
- Assist with preparing statutory financial statements under FRS 102.
- Support the annual audit process through liaison with auditors and preparation of supporting documentation.
- Support a variety of projects such as banking reporting, restructuring, business combinations, accounting standards updates and investment analysis.
Candidate requirements
- ACA qualification
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience with FRS 102 (IFRS experience beneficial)
- Understanding of the audit process
- Proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills
