The Business: A global technology business going through a procurement restructure/growth journey. Key Responsibilities: Deliver key strategic IT Procurement projects with large complex spend. Software will be the key focus looking at Tier 1 relationships such as AWS, Microsoft, ServiceNow etc. Spend per project could vary from c.£20m to £200m Challenge stakeholders to a senior level in the right way in order to drive the procurement agenda and achieve positive, ‘value-add’ results Drive a Procurement agenda into a growing space i.e. being proactive and taking hold and ownership of opportunities, shaping deals and driving governance, often within tight timescales Opportunity Assessment: Define global IT procurement strategy through spend analysis and identifying opportunities to drive economies of scale Key Skills: For this role we are looking for a ‘doer’ who will be hands on in the delivery of large-scale IT procurement projects driving savings Able to navigate a multi-regional environment in a business with global reach Resilience is key – able to challenge key stakeholders to achieve a positive result Have a strong track record within the IT category, ideally in SaaS and Software Someone who understands what ‘best in class’ procurement looks like and can bring new ideas to the table An ability to develop and implement category strategy Able to …
