Cedar is working with a fast-growing £150 million turnover consumer business to recruit a Group Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key accounting processes, deliver accurate reporting, and provide financial insight that supports business decision-making.

Working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director, the successful candidate will support budgeting and forecasting, deliver insightful reporting, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience working with stakeholders who thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting, preparing accurate reports and commentary for senior management
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support decision-making across the business
  • Maintain and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and finance partners
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Person Specification
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with industry experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, able to communicate clearly and influence decision-making at all levels
  • Comfortable developing and improving systems and processes to support business operations
  • Able to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain high attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable and motivated to work in a high growth, evolving environment
  • Positive, proactive, and solution-focused
  • Experienced with Xero or similar accounting software
