The Role
- Reporting to the Financial Accountant and supporting the wider finance team, you’ll be involved in the day‑to‑day financial management of a varied portfolio of businesses and investments.
- Preparing daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and currencies.
- Processing payments and inter‑account transfers.
- Recording financial transactions accurately within Xero.
- Resolving day‑to‑day banking and payment queries.
- Assisting with VAT return preparation.
- Supporting cashflow forecasting and reporting.
- Preparing credit risk reports.
- Assisting with year‑end accounts preparation.
- Supporting personal tax return processes.
- Contributing to finance projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Using technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and reporting.
About You
- Part‑Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA status.
- Proven experience within a finance or accounting role.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, payments and month‑end processes.
- Good Excel skills and experience using accounting software such as Xero.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership.
