Cedar is currently partnered with a leading, investor-backed UK infrastructure business to secure an Interim Finance Manager within its Group Finance function. This assignment will focus on overseeing the month-end and year-end close, managing the external audit and leading an established finance team during a critical reporting period. This established, high-growth infrastructure business operates within a capital-intensive, fast-evolving sector, supported by significant institutional investment.

- Take full ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Lead the year-end close, coordinating deliverables and ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
- Manage the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and overseeing the resolution of queries.
- Lead and manage a team of three direct reports within the management accounts function.
- Ensure balance-sheet reconciliations, financial records and supporting documentation are accurate and complete.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to resolve outstanding issues and maintain reporting timelines.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies, ensuring the finance function operates effectively throughout the assignment.
- Provide hands‑on financial leadership and maintain continuity during the recruitment of a permanent replacement.

- A formal accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong experience managing month-end and year-end reporting processes within a complex organisation.
- A proven track record of leading external audits and managing relationships with auditors.
- Experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple departments and drive deliverables to completion.
- A hands‑on, delivery-focused approach, with the ability to take ownership quickly and operate autonomously.
