Cedar are exclusively supporting a Public Sector client, based in Crewe, who are looking to hire a Procurement Specialist. This role is a permanent job opportunity offering a salary range from £40,000 up to £50,000 per annum plus benefits. Working arrangements for this role are hybrid and you are required to be on-site 2 days per week with the remaining days based from home.
Reporting into the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for running end to end Procurement projects, primarily in areas relating to ICT/Digital, Corporate Services and Professional Services to ensure compliance with the new Procurement Act 2023 and with the aim to deliver value for money solutions for the organisation and its key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing renewals, tenders, commercial pipeline and other tasks/projects as required for the role.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- Experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector, i.e. a role in Procurement and/or Category Management
- Experience using Government Frameworks such as CCS and running end to end procurement projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - this is working in a small team so clear communication is key
- Understanding of the new Procurement Act 2023 is required; completion of PA23 training would be advantageous
- CIPS qualified would be advantageous but is not required
