Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client who are looking to hire a Commercial Manager. This is a permanent job opportunity offering a salary c£45,000 per annum along with benefits which include a Civil Service Pension and c32 days holidays (plus Bank Holidays). This role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectations to be on-site c3 days per week at offices located in the West Midlands, Greater Manchester or Nottinghamshire.
Reporting into the Commercial Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading on a range of procurement activities across the Corporate and Professional Services category (i.e. vehicle hire, travel, legal services, HR services, print/postal services, language services, office supplies) and on occasion support the ICT & Digital category for key projects. The successful candidate will be required to manage key relationships with internal stakeholders and lead/support on the management of multiple contracts.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- experience working a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace i.e. a role in Procurement, Commercial, Category Contract Management
- understanding of the new Procurement Act 2023 would be advantageous but is not required
- strong attention to detail and ambition to develop long term in a Procurement/Commercial role
- strong written and verbal communication skills
