Cedar are recruiting a Accessibility Manager position as part of a company change initiative for a national transport business. This is an interim position (inside IR35) initially up to 6 months with potential to extend. The role can be based in London or Birmingham and will report into the Head of Strategy. The role focuses on ensuring accessibility and inclusion company wide, with key responsibilities including: Strategy & Policy Development: Design and implement the accessibility strategy and oversee the development and approval of the Accessible Travel Policy. Business Commitments: Ensure timely and budgeted delivery of accessibility commitments within National Contracts (e.g., staff training). Regulatory Compliance: Meet relevant governing bodies and regulatory requirements, including data collection and reporting. Knowledge Development: Stay updated on legislation and best practices regarding inclusion, equality, and accessibility, and communicate necessary changes within the business. Facility & Service Improvement: Review and enhance accessibility office locations and further sites Initiatives & Funding: Develop and execute a road map to achieve accessibility goals and secure funding through bids. Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and represent the business in national accessibility forums. Customer Engagement: Lead the business Accessibility Group, ensuring accurate information and effective marketing of accessibility initiatives. Incident Management: Investigate any incidents, implementing lessons learned. Personal Specification: Strong stakeholder management, experience in accessibility, and proven project management skills. Ability to build relationships, negotiate, and manage budgets. Capable of working under tight deadlines and managing complex problems.
